My goal is to make Grandview C-4 a strong, visionary district through a program of:
I vote “Yes” to the $9 million “No Tax Increase” school bond. It is fiscally responsible.
I support the school district’s mission statement:
1. maximize academic achievement
2. maximize personal development
3. by improving teaching, learning and relationships for all
I support encouragement for students being involved with school sponsored extra-curricular activities; it leads students to a better connection to the school community and leads to better academic achievement/success.
I support prioritizing funds to implement the “Technology Plan”. This provides a tool to meeting the higher expectations of MSIP 5 (Missouri School Improvement Plan)
I support that the annual budget should be viewed as tools to reach student-learning priorities, and the district's spending and practices do not protect sacred cows.
I support the saying: “WHAT GETS MEASURED; GETS IMPROVED”
Openness and Transparency:
I support openness and transparency by the school board to be mindful of our accountability to the communities that entrust our children to the school district
I support that effective school boards routinely and regularly measure and report the return on investment of the education dollars they spend.
I support that effective policy makers today make their greatest gains by asking appropriate questions, and productive boards recognize the self-instructive value in making the following query an ongoing refrain: “What services are we providing to which students at what cost and resulting in what benefits?”
I support engaging new technology that engages parent’s involvement in providing policy-making input.
We should communicate in concerted efforts with the mayor, city council and chamber of commerce the "New Grandview".
We need to look to aggressive efforts to increasing private funds (Corporate Sponsorships, Private Grants and additional fund raising through extra curricular activities--Athletics, etc)
I AM PROUD TO BE A BULLDOG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ask for your vote and your support so that I can work to make a difference bringing our district to world-class status for all students.
Please be sure to vote on April 2 at the municipal election!
